I read an article by Jeff Thull of Prime Resource Group where he wrote:
The Hippocratic Oath of a physician – “First do no harm” – is at the heart of the thinking of the most successful sales professionals.
Doing no harm is not good enough. You must do more. You must improve the client’s condition. You’ve been paid a fee to provide advice, make a difference and to deliver improved performance and results. By accepting a fee it’s not enough to first do no harm. You have to do some good. Preferably, a LOT of good.
And, that’s how you will stand out from the crowd and be different to your competitors.
